"High Quality" This is a lovely hotel in the heart of old Malmo. Although just a five minute walk from the central railway station, the hotel is in a pedestrianised street. There is a short flight of stairs before you reach the lift, but there is a handrail. Reception staff are charming and speak good English. The ambiance of the hotel is nineteenth century elegance, decorated to a high standard. Our room was very large and clean, with comfortable antique-style furnishings and lovely curtains. Original quality oil paintings on the wall. Triple glazing with integral venetian blinds ensure peace and quiet. Very comfortable twin beds with crisp cotton bedlinen. TV does have English channels. Huge wardrobe space with plenty of hangers. There is even an iron and ironing board provided (how rare is that!). Bathroom was clean and pleasant, with complimentary toiletries. The breakfast dining room is spacious and elegant, with an excellent selection of good food. If only all hotels were this good! Malmo itself is a delight to visit, but should you tire of its charms and fine shops, the hotel provides a restful oasis of comfort.
